Triposo has been around for about a year now on both Android and iOS platforms. It’s a useful app to have installed on your phone when you go on holiday and offers you a lot of information about the city you are in. The main great thing about Triposo is that it’s offline, so you won’t get hit with roaming charges.
A few days ago Triposo released a new version of their app onto the App Store and we have a quick promo video of it in action in Amsterdam.

Triposo covers over 8000 destinations with in depth and up to date information, the new app now actually suggests to travellers where they should go next. It looks at your location and checks this against nearby points of interest and opening times and tells you where to go. Sounds interesting really. I should try this out in my local town and see what it comes up with.
There also seems to be an augmented reality twist to it as well whereby it knows which direction your looking in and highlights places in view.
The video also highlights some other new features, like the travel dashboard. Essential things like weather forecast, currency converter and useful phrasebook are just one tap away.
Hopefully this new update will make its way across to the Android version as it certainly does look nicer on the iPhone at the moment.
