You have probably been there, you search for a local company using Bing local. It finds the results you want and you want to save it as a new contact.
Well you can’t, there is no way of saving the results. Bar writing it down with a pen and paper or awkwardly copying and pasting each detail across.
That’s where this app steps in. Add to Contacts does two things. It acts as a standalone app and inserts itself into the application list within the Local Search app.
So you decide you want to look up the local Pizza Hut. You hit the search button, type in “pizza hut” under “local” you get a list of the nearby matches. Tap on the one you want and scroll across until you are on the “applications” tab. You should be able to see “Add to Contacts” in the list. It then loads the data up ready to save as a contact and you are pretty much done.
The other way is via the standalone app. You search through that instead and then save.
It is a great app that adds functionality to your Windows Phone devices, dare I say it, this sort of thing should really be baked into the OS from the outset. It costs 79p and I certainly feel it is worth that. Either head over to the link below or the nice Microsoft banner at the bottom.
