Over the last week or so we have heard lots about Windows Phone 8 and all of its great new features. Quite a few people are upset about the fact that current devices cannot be upgraded to Windows Phone 8, as a compromise Microsoft have took one of the most obvious features of WP8 “the Start Screen” and will make it soon available for WP7 users. It is said the 7.8 update will be direct from Microsoft via Zune and shouldn’t have any carrier interference. Which is nice.
Ben from the “Smoked by Windows Phone” videos has made this video showing you the features of the new start screen and it looks pretty good. I am certainly looking forward to getting this on my devices.
