Yesterday Samsung started to update some of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 models to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich with the Wifi model (model GT-P7510) taking its turn now. As usual with Samsung you can either update using Kies or wait for your device to pick up the ota update itself.
Don’t even dare mention Jelly Bean though. Yes manufacturers updating devices is good but all of these Honeycomb devices only just getting Ice Cream Sandwich is a little absurd. It’s almost as though the latest version of Android is only ever received on Nexus devices, with everyone else one generation behind.
Apparently the next models to be updated are as follows.
The next tablets will receive an Android 4.0 update.
GT-P6210 Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0 WIFI
