Slim Bean is the all new Jelly Bean update to Slim ICS – a super slick, minimal version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which has proved a popular alternative to CyanogenMod and AOKP.
Since the release of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) Jelly Bean source code last month, the developers at Slim ROMs have launched their final release of Slim ICS and already have a stable release of Slim Bean for selected devices. Considering these guys do this as a hobby, that’s pretty good going!
At the moment the ROM variants are limited to a few Samsung devices, but more handsets are due for the size 0 Jelly Bean treatment in the near future.
Current Slim Bean ROMs are for the following handsets:
Google Nexus S (Crespo)
Samsung Galaxy S (I9000)
GSM Galaxy Nexus (Maguro)
Sprint Galaxy Nexus (ToroPlus)
Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Toro)
T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant T959
AT&T Samsung Captivate (I897)
All Slim Bean ROMs from the Slim ROMs website.
I’m still going to sit and wait a while for the ROMs to develop a bit more. i was enjoying Slim ICS as I found the battery life on my Gnex was very impressive compared to other ROMs.
