A few weeks ago we reviewed the Vodafone Smart II which is a budget phone from Vodafone. Vodafone were running a competition in conjunction with the Tate Collective where people were invited to design a back plate for the phone. The winning design would be available in select stores, online and in Harrods.
Well the winning design has been chosen and here it is.
The Tate edition will be available for £70 and that includes a ticket to the Tate Modern or the Tate Britain.

Vodafone & Tate team up to create a mini masterpiece:
The Vodafone Smart II Tate EditionVodafone has teamed up with Tate Collective – a group of aspiring young people supported by Tate – to create a design for the new limited edition version of the Vodafone Smart II.
Just 1,000 of the winning design, created by art student Gaby Sahhar, will be made. Each Vodafone Smart II Tate Edition will also come with a two-for-one entry ticket that can be used for any exhibition at Tate Modern or Tate Britain up to 31 January, 2013. Despite the rarity of this smartphone and the fact that it’s got a great camera, long battery life and powerful processor under its cover – it is one of the most affordable smartphones on the market at just £70 on Pay as you go. Customers will also benefit from Vodafone’s great value Freebees, which include a choice of free minutes, texts and web access or international calls.
