Today Huawei have announced their latest smartphone, the Ascend Y201.
The new Ascend Y201 is an entry-level Android handset that will be exclusive to Tesco Mobile. Launching today, the latest offering from Huawei runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and uses Huawei’s own easy to use interface coined HAP 5.1
Hap 5.1 is designed to enable one-step access to various phone applications direct from the unlock screen and is also intended to reduce the complexity of navigating through myriad features to access everyday call, messaging and camera functions.
The Ascend Y 201 is powered by an 800MHz processor and has a 1250mAh Li-ion battery giving up to five hours of talk time. It’s 9.9mm thin, and incorporates elegant contours and a distinctive metallic band across its back. It is available in ‘ceramic white’ exclusively from Tesco Mobile now, for £70 on prepay and on pay-monthly tariffs from £10 per month.
