Nokia have done it again, they have released another Lumia specific app. This time it’s one of those fiddly to get hold of Beta apps, luckily you’ll find the links below. Nokia Xpress is a web browser that offers data compression in a similiar way to Opera Mini does, to help speed up web browsing and to reduce the amount of data you use browsing the web.
Nokia Xpress also offers a few other handy features, such as translating web pages for you, saving them to a reading list for offline reading later, it also has a data monitor built in to the app and it offers some sort of video transferring to SkyDrive as well. It is certainly an interesting addition to the Nokia Collection and will be very useful for people without huge data allowances.
I’ll be trying this out over the next few weeks and we’ll see just how useful an app it is. For more info on the app head over to the Nokia Beta Labs link at the bottom. There is a video trailer for the app as well.
