There have been rumours circulating regarding a new Nexus handset as far back as August when James reported on a possible Galaxy Nexus refresh.
Well, it turns out that the i9260 is actually a new addition to the Samsung Galaxy range to be called the Galaxy Premier.
According to German website Mobile Geeks the Galaxy premier is to be a 4.65-inch handset with 720p resolution and is based on a dual-core 1.5ghz ARM processor from an as yet unnamed manufacturer.
Running Android 4.1 Jellybean the Premier will come with 8gb or 16gb onboard storage, an 8.1mp rear camera and a 2-MP front facing shooter. Also included is WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, a microSD card slot and a microUSB port supporting cards up to 64gb. Measuring 68.1mm x 133.97mm x 8.8mmthe device is set to be on the upper side of mid range.
Mobile Geeks also say that the handset will be priced at around 480 euros and that the launch is set for the fourth quarter of 2012.
