So, what do you do if you want a 10-inch tablet but don’t like Android and you quite fancy the Microsoft Surface but don’t have the funds? Well, you could do a lot worse than an Acer Iconia W500 Windows 7 tablet PC. This has become possible due to the kind people at ebuyer.com slashing the price almost in half!
If you fancy an Asus Transformer style docking keyboard, then you’re in luck because there’s the facility to add one (sold separately).
The Acer Iconia W500 is a great alternative to the standard set of tablet computers, and at this price it’s certainly worth considering if you want something different.

Yes, it comes running Windows 7 out of the box, but there seems to have been some success with people upgrading it to Windows 8. However, please don’t say we guaranteed it to work with Windows 8, as none of us at coolsmartphone have actually tried it!

A 32gig SSD, Win 7 home premium and Office starter, how much space is left for files?
not much it seems. most people grabbing these replace the ssd straight away…
I got one with a 32gb memory card and upgrade to Windows 8 for less than 300 quid. Its the bargain of the century. Win 7 is dire on it but with Win 8, it flies and really shows off the power that having a proper OS on a tablet can give. The upgrade is done easily and your left with around 20gb on the main drive if you do a clean install. I can’t believe what the bargain this is.
