ZTE have been making a lot of progress over the past year, we were especially impressed with the ZTE Grand X which we had in a little while ago to review for both it’s low price and near generic version of the OS.
However ZTE are really going all guns blazing in 2013 and this is their first example of that in a new Android powered 5 inch screen smartphone with impressive specifications is about to turn heads.
The ZTE Nubia Z5 features a large 5 inch display bade by Sharp with as mentioned before a highly impressive PPI of 443 meaning content on the screen is as cler as it can be which is far higher than we have seen on most phones with the exception of the HTC Butterfly J which also has a 1080p screen.
There is also 32GB of built in storage, a 2 megapixel front facing camera for video calls with a 13 megapixel camera on the back which also captures 1080p HD video. Add to that HSPA+ connectivity with GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC with 2GB or RAM and a quad core 1.5GHz processor powering it all you have a monster spec of a device.
Running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean out of the box this is as near to latest software as you can get without owning a Nexus device and built in is a 3000mAh battery for plenty of juice on the move.
So after reading that I bet you want one too right?, well unfortunately at the moment the only release date is for China, but we are hoping with CES and MWC just around the corner this would be a phone to look out for and hopefully an international launch will be announced soon.
