The time of reckoning for Rim is drawing ever closer.
The launch date for BB10 is all set to be 30th January however details have leaked out with details of the new L Series.
The L Series is to launch under the model number Z10 and will have the following specs:
- 4.2″ 1280 x 768 HD display
- 2GB Ram
- 16GB Onboard Storage
- 1800 mAh battery
- 2MP front facing camera with 2x digital zoom and 720p video recording
- 8mp rear camera with 1080p video recording and 5x digital zoom
- LED flash
- Wi-Fi
- NFC
- 4G
- GPS
- Bluetooth
These specs tally with the device shown in the video leaked a few days ago and when combined with the leaked pictures shown here the Blackberry Z10 is looking a rather tasty device.

All those people who are coming to the end of 2 year contracts with a BB may well be persuaded to stay instead of jumping ship to Apple or Android. It certainly looks right. From the earlier video, it looks like it can do the business to. Could be a winner for RIM, goodness knows they need it. I’ll bet Microsoft aren’t looking forward to this hitting the streets.
That battery seems a little on the small side for that device, I’m assuming of course it will be using a high end fast CPU/GPU but just driving the HD screen is going to get through the juice.
Indeed, you’ve really got to be looking at 2000mAh on a device with a screen like this.
I’m still looking around for the X10 specs with great interest. The battery seems a little on the low side, but if the OS is that efficient… well, we’ll see. It just seems like an awful lot of screen for so little MaH. And no 32Gb version? Well, everyone has been asking for a more streamlined line-up, so for device 1 of BB10… its not too bad.
