Picture the scene, you’re out and about and want to watch your favourite Sky TV show. No problem! Just use the Sky Go app. However, if you’re on a fairly restrictive mobile data plan it’s going to burn through your data faster than my cat rips wallpaper. We covered this a day or two ago and the updated version is now available.
If you upgrade to Sky Go Extra (and pay an extra £5 per month) you’ll now be able to download “selected On Demand content” to selected tablets and mobiles. After you’ve downloaded a show you can then watch it anywhere, whether you’ve got a connection or not. Four different devices can be registered and you can see it in action below, but we’ve added this extra story because if you go here you can get a two month free trial to give it a spin.
Grab it here.
Seems your 3G data allowance is safe – SkyGo message: “You can only download over WiFi”.
Unless this is a trial restriction.
