Meet Rob. He has had an idea. Headphones, or “earbuds” as he likes to call them, have a little issue – the cables that come off them. They’re usually long and get snagged somewhere on your clothing despite those clips that come with the headphones.
Here the Bluetooth earbuds sit on a …. err.. sligtly shorter cable which plugs into a small clip on your clothing. This clip, called the “Elroy” is magnetic and you can simply stick your headphones, sorry, earbuds, to them. The Kickstarter project has already hit $97,710, and they only needed $30,000, so expect to see it soon.
I’m split here. They seem to be selling this as a way to stop those “cumbersome cabling nightmares” but you still have those cables dangling from your ears and into your jacket. However, it does seem useful for those moments when you’re trying to fish your phone out of your pocket. Having the 3.5mm audio cable plugged in always makes this a bit of a struggle, so I guess in that respect it could prove useful.

Jabra Clipper.
HTC did a Bluetooth clip that had short cables and you could use 1 or 2 earphones. Didn’t magnetically attach, but the wires weren’t long enough to really get in the way
Been using my Sony MW600 bluetooth headphones for about 4 years now. Nothing new here
