For a while now rumours have been floating around the internet about the next generation of Nokia Lumia phones. The main discussion has been surrounding the high-end. To give the flagship a more premium feel Nokia have been said to be making it from Aluminium. It is also meant to be called “Catwalk” which I hope is a codename and they continue with their current numerical naming convention.
Here are the pictures, which show various trays and sockets as well as what seems to be a new design. The main points here are the Micro USB port appears to be at the top and it also has the three pogo pins on the backplate for wireless charging.
Spec wise this next generation Lumia the Catwalk isn’t drastically improved over the existing flagship the Lumia 920. It is rumoured to have 4.5” display, an S4 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 16GB of memory instead of the current 32GB, a 2000mAh battery and an 8.7MP OIS camera with LED Flash.
Personally I think this is going to be a great device and hopefully it will be what Nokia unveil on May 15th. There is also a rumoured device to have an improved camera and Xenon flash, which hopefully will appear soon.
