What would you sacrifice to own an iPhone?
A can of coke a day, perhaps a chocolate bar. How about 2 cigarettes a day?
Well, thanks to Carphone Warehouse you can now own a sparkly slab of iPhone deliciousness for just £17 per month (that’s less than 50p per day)
Now admittedly this is for an iPhone 4 and not the latest and greatest iPhone 5 but it is still a premium device at a very very low cost!
Carphone Warehouse say that the new tariff which is available from Friday 10th May has been introduced in response to a growing number of consumers who want smartphones at consistently accessible price points.
Graham Stapleton, Chief Operations Officer for Carphone Warehouse says,
“Launching the cheapest iPhone tariff is an exciting move for Carphone Warehouse. Many of our customers want the opportunity to own the iconic Apple handset, but at a tariff that works for them. Even though smartphones are mainstream, there are still thousands of customers who are upgrading from a feature phone to a smartphone, and this deal is perfect for them. As the UK’s largest independent mobile retailer, we are best placed to guarantee customers the best value across feature phones, smartphones and tablets. We’re focused on offering the best possible value on the high street and this tariff is another exciting long term way for us to do this.”
The iPhone will be available on both o2 and Three, o2’s offering has 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb data included whilst Three offers 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 250mb data.

Apart from the fact that this is a (nearly) 3 year old phone that isn’t too bad a deal, 8gig is really not enough for an iPhone though so you’ll need good cloud access. 500meg is the minumum data, although looking on the CPW site it looks like for £20pm you can get unlimited data on 3.
