The Sony Xperia ZU or Z Ultra is Sony’s answer to the success of the Samsung Note range. It has been floating around the rumour sphere for some time but some screenshots have just leaked and the screenshots appear to confirm some of the expected specifications as well.
The screenshots show the Z Ultra to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor with an Adreno 330 GPU and backed up by 2GB of RAM. Internal memory is 16GB and the phone is showing a 6.21″ display but this is without the menu bar so expect a whopping 6.4″ screen with resolution 1824 x 1080 so expect full HD – 1920 x 1080.
The good news is that the phone should be released on 4.2.2, which is a first for Sony.
We should find out more on July 4th when Sony have an event scheduled.

Was reading the preview of the Snapdragon 800, certainly is an impressive SOC, graphics wise it is by far the fastest Android out there, even besting the iPad 4 / iPhone 5 in a few benchmarks.

LG will be using this in the next top-o-the-line Optimus G phone (G2)
It didn’t take long for the S4 / HTC One to be made to look slow and old 😉
