Three UK have just uploaded a video to their YouTube channel showing off another new phone heading to their UK network and that is the Acer Liquid E2
The E2 looks to be a mid range handset but does still have access to the Ultrafast 42Mbps DC-HSDPA network for almost 4G like speeds.
More information will be available shortly….
Today Three announces that the Acer Liquid E2 will be available soon on its Ultrafast network with all-you-can-eat-data. Three’s Ultrafast network is supported by DC-HSDPA technology and covers more than 80 per cent of the UK population, with 4G LTE coming later this year.
Sylvia Chind, Head of Devices at Three said, “The E2 has a premium finish design with dual speakers enhanced by DTS Studio Sound™ so you’ll be able to enjoy streaming the latest music videos on our Ultrafast network in amazing lifelike audio quality”.
The Acer Liquid E2 boasts an eight megapixel HD camera with an instant shutter key so there’s no delay when capturing unmissable moments. The camera also adapts to all light levels and includes a ‘beautification’ mode and range of filters to ensure images are great every time and perfect for sharing on social networks.
In addition, the Acer Liquid E2’s large 4.5” crystal clear display is ideal for playing the latest Angry Birds game or simply browsing the mobile internet. Plus, the Liquid E2’s quad-core processor means that people can run an array of their favourite apps at the same time, without being slowed down.

I just bought my wife the dual sim version of this phone from Amazon France Sim Free. She had used the Liquid gallant duo as her first smartphone, and she’d started to notice lags in keyboard presses, screen updates etc. as she’s become faster using a touch screen device.
The E2 is very quick and smooth in operation, the MediaTek quad core processor is more than capable. The build is better than on the gallant, and screen quality is considerably better, and its running 4.2.1. For the money (around £180) its a very capable phone, and definitely one of the better dual sim models out there.
