A lot has been made about the lack of apps on Windows Phone 8 but it must be said that there are a lot of ingenious developers who make unofficial apps. With the likes of Swapchat (a Snapchat client – since removed from marketplace) and Itsdagram, already having been released, it is now the turn of 6sec, an unofficial Vine client.
For those who don’t know Vine is an app operated by Twitter that allows users to record 6 second videos, with a loop if wished, and either share them on the app or share to Twitter or Facebook. The app is pretty good really covering editor’s choice, allowing you to follow users, search for topics and revine videos you like to your followers. It also includes Live tile support and Lens support allowing you to create videos directly from your camera app.
The app is available now, for free from the Windows Phone marketplace and should keep all Vine users happy until the official app is released, as mentioned in the Lumia 1020 launch.
