Nvidia are famed for their chipsets, which can be found in devices such as the Asus Transformer range and the HTC One X+, as well as graphics cards in PC’s and the like. Now though, they’re looking at making their own 7 inch tablet – the Tegra Tab.
Some pretty decent images have come out on the Chinese mydrivers.com site showing the back and camera of the new slate, which is said to be powered by the new Tegra 4 preocessor.
The other rumoured specs include a Full HD HDMI interface and what looks similar to a SIM card slot, so it could also be a 3G or 4G device.
Looks wise, it reminds me of an OG Nexus 7 due to what looks like a textured back, but this one seems a little more rugged.
There’s no mention of the operating system, but I think it’s safe to assume that it’ll run some flavour of Android.
Price and availability aren’t mentioned in the leak, but if it does come to the UK with a Tegra 4 on board it could be a pretty interesting device.
More as we get it.
