Today we can confirm this is happening. The Three site has now been updated with a link to this new service which is based on their old ‘Three like Home’ offering. It basically allows you to take your UK deal abroad to any country with a Three network.

With Feel At Home, you can call or and text the UK and get online, using your current plan, in seven other countries, just like you would at home and it won’t cost a penny more. So now you can chat to your family, text your friends, post gloaty status updates and share your holiday snaps whenever you like, with no more worrying about extra charges on your bill.
Who can use Feel At Home?
Feel At Home is available to any Three customer – all Pay Monthly phone customers, SIM plans, Pay As You Go, Mobile Broadband and Business customers.
Which countries are included?
As a Three customer, you can call and text the UK and get online when in Austria, Australia, Denmark, Hong Kong, Italy, the Republic of Ireland and Sweden — just like you do at home
So why not have a natter from Naples, send a message from Milan or even surf in Perth, without the worry of any extra charges? Just remember, if you send texts or make calls to local numbers while abroad you’ll be charged our normal roaming rates.
What do I need to use Feel At Home?
You don’t need to do a thing. It all happens automatically as soon as you arrive in an eligible country. Just wait for your phone to pick up any local mobile network and you’re good to go.
It is great to still see Australia listed even though a while ago, Vodafone purchased the Three brand there and now operate just as Vodafone, but they are on the list of countries which is fantastic news.

About Feel At Home.
Feel At Home is our new service that lets you use your UK allowances to call or text the UK and use data in selected countries abroad. This applies to everyone on our network, whatever type of plan or tariff you have.
You shouldn’t need to do anything to benefit from Feel At Home – it should all work automatically as soon as you arrive.

You can currently enjoy Feel At Home in the following countries:

What Feel At Home covers.
Feel At Home means that you can use your UK allowances to:
- call the UK
- text the UK
- use data on your phone.
If you have Three-to-Three minutes, you’ll also be able to use these to call someone else on Three either in the UK or in the same Feel At Home country as you.
If you run out of your allowances.
If you go over your allowances, you’ll be charged at roaming rates that are lower than normal. These rates are:
- 20p per minute to make calls
- 7p per text
- 10p per MB.
It’s always free to receive calls in a Feel At Home country. Find out about other roaming rates in the country you’re visiting.

If you have a credit limit, this will still apply while you’re in a Feel At Home country.
Limitations on Feel At Home.
There are some limitations on Feel At Home.

You can’t use your phone to tether while you’re abroad.

As in any non-UK country, you can’t call personal numbers (070), premium rate numbers beginning 09 and directory services numbers beginning 118. However, calls to numbers beginning 08 will be included in your standard allowances, and then charged at 20p per minute if you go over your allowances.

It’s designed for trips away rather than living abroad, so if you take advantage of Feel At Home but don’t use your phone in the UK at all for three months in a 12 month period, you won’t be able to use your phone abroad anymore.

You’ll be able to stream and connect to VPNs while in a Feel At Home country but both of these will be slower than they are in the UK.

If you use more than 25GB of data, 5000 texts or 3000 minutes per month in any two months within a year, you may be blocked from using these services.

Three announces ‘Feel At Home’
Three customers will stay on their UK price plan when travelling abroad in seven countries
From today Three customers have a new, simple and affordable way to stay in touch with friends and family back home while travelling overseas. Three customers will be able to get online as well as call and text the UK using their current plan as if they’re still in the UK, when in a ‘Feel At Home’ country. That means they can now use their UK price plan instead of incurring international roaming charges in certain countries if they are contacting loved ones in the UK, and even if you go out of bundle you will be subject to reduced roaming rates
Initially available in Republic of Ireland, Australia, Italy, Austria, Hong Kong, Sweden and Denmark, Feel At Home will automatically activate as soon as the plane touches down in one of the listed countries. As soon as you arrive and your device picks up any local mobile network, it’s good to go and you can start posting envy-inducing holiday status updates straight away.
Three is the first UK operator to offer customers the same in-country mobile phone and mobile broadband rates for no additional charge as if you’re at home whilst abroad, signifying a real shift in how customers are billed for mobile use in other countries.
Thomas Malleschitz, marketing director at Three, said: “We want to make sure our customers have the best possible mobile experience. By abolishing expensive roaming charges in select countries we are allowing our customers to get even more value from their minutes, texts and data abroad by removing the fear associated with staying in touch while travelling.”
After launching new game-changing Pay-As-You-Go rates of 3p a minute, 2p a text and 1p a MB of data last month, the same principles of simplicity and affordability are being brought to roaming.
All customers on pay monthly, Pay-As-You-Go, SIM-only, mobile broadband and business plans have the freedom to use Feel At Home within the limits of their current Three price plan. If people exceed the limits of their current price plan then they will still benefit from special roaming rates that are lower than Three’s standard roaming rates. Calls and texts to non-UK numbers will be charged at standard roaming rates and tethering is not allowed.
