The iPhone 5s and 5c – Where to get them

The iPhone 5s and 5c Where to get them

I’ve already had two people tell me how they intend to pay or upgrade to the iPhone 5s this morning, so it’s worth letting you know where you can get one or an iPhone 5c.

Firstly, we should point out that all the major networks will be picking up both phones and we’ll update this post with dates and prices as we get them.

– EE have confirmed that they will range the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. The handsets will be available on 4GEE, Orange and T-Mobile from 20th September. Customers with eligible devices can also upgrade to the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c from as early as six months into their contract using the new “Swap” plan which we covered yesterday. EE have obviously got a big lead in the UK 4G coverage and bathe 105 towns and cities with 4G. The iPhone 5c will be available for pre-order on Friday, September 13 and you can register your interest here.

– Three will offer the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c on the same day – September 20th. They’ll launch their 4G network in December, starting in London, Birmingham and Manchester for no additional cost. They too have the iPhone 5c up for pre-order on Friday, September 13. Register your interest here. Update – Three have just confirmed to us that both iPhones will be compatible with the Three 4G network when it launches in December.

– O2 will offer both devices and have launched their 4G network fairly recently. They’ve confirmed to us that both will work on their 4G network and you can register interest on their website.

You can get the iPhone 5s for just £37 with unlimited texts, unlimited minutes and 1GB of 3G data. There is an £119.99 upfront cost. You can also jump onto one of those new O2 Refresh tariffs to let you upgrade more freely. Have a read all about the O2 Refresh stuff in our earlier story here. If you want some 4G action you can plumb for the 5s with unlimited texts, unlimited minutes and 5GB of 4G data for £47 a month with a £119.99 upfront cost.

Looking for the iPhone 5c on O2? You can pick one up with unlimited texts, 600 minutes and 750MB 3G data for £32 a month with just a £49.99 upfront cost. That, if I’m honest, isn’t bad. For 4G, try 5GB of 4GB data, unlimited texts and unlimited minutes for a £99.99 upfront cost at £42 per month.

–  Vodafone have also confirmed to be ranging both devices and, although we don’t have confirmation as yet, we assume that both devices will work on Voda 4G too. You can register your interest for both devices on Vodafone.co.uk. Both devices will work on Voda 4G.

We’ll update this post with deals and packages when we get them.
