Well, this has been leaking all over the internet for quite some weeks now. We know pretty much everything about the handset and today got the low-down on the Duo Camera setup at the rear. Now the HTC 2014 flagship, previously known as the HTC M8, has been fully detailed and we have full specs.
Yes, a few leaks can be good – especially when devices like the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia Z2 are about to hit stores – but this is just ridiculous and effectively makes the March 25th launch almost pointless.
GSMArena have also got a full sales guide, which proves that the dam hasn’t just sprung a few leaks, it’s positively gushing all over the place.
The specs then..
Screen – 5″ 1080×1920 (441 ppi) / Super LCD3 capacitive / Gorilla Glass 3
Interface – HTC Sense v6
OS – Android 4.4 KitKat
CPU – Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 Quad-core 2.3GHz Krait 400
GPU – Adreno 330
Storage – 16GB Internal, 2GB RAM, microSD up to 128GB
Camera 1 – Rear “HTC Duo” camera for taking photos and then re-focusing it afterwards (blur the foreground or background)
Camera 2 – Front 5 megapixel
Other specs include Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / GLONASS, WiFi, DLNA, NFC, IR and 4G capability. There’s a 2600 mAh battery powering it which you can’t remove. HTC BoomSound is back once again and the “Motion Launch” feature means you can answer a call just by putting the phone next to your ear.
The rear camera resolution doesn’t seem to be known as yet and there’s a couple of spelling errors in the “leaked” sales pack below, which is a little strange. The rear camera could be the same Ultrapixel resolution as the current HTC One. The front camera is said to have an ultra-wide angle lens and a “special selfie mode” with a countdown timer.
