OK, I’m going to take some airtime and abuse my position just one last time. Don’t turn off just yet. I’ll make this brief for you.
Later today I’ll be heading for London. I’m not attending a fancy press launch with miniature food, no. I’m going to get on a mountain bike and, over the course of four days, I’ll be cycling to Paris. The plan is to start from Big Ben and end up at the Eiffel Tower.
Sure, this it’s a bit nuts, but it’s not a patch on the bravery of those soldiers who crossed over to France some 70 years ago. I’m basically doing this to raise money for Edward’s Trust. They help children and families to survive bereavement. I can’t even imagine the pain that parents and families would feel in such a situation, so it’s an attempt to raise some cash to keep Edward’s Trust providing that support.
If you can, please, just splash a few quid on the JustGiving page. I know we’re all a bit skint at the moment, but it’d make such a difference. You can text 70070 with the code LTPT47 and then the amount you’d like to donate – £1, £5, £10 etc. You can also add Gift Aid at no extra cost.
If you’re still reading, I want to thank everyone who donated to my previous charity ride to Wales and back. It’s really appreciated.
