Yes, you really are seeing this. That “joke picture” circling around the internet featuring a guy holding his phone on the end of a stick is an actual product. It’s called the Me-Shot Deluxe and, to be fair, is a bit more than just a big stick.
A company called XSories, which is a high-end French firm specialising in camera and photography accessories, has come up with this device to capture all your favourite moments and, of course, those selfie shots, like never before. You simply get your phone ready for a photo, extend your pole and then shoot. It’ll extend out to 93cm and holds your phone or camera in a secure and sturdy grip.
I know what you’re asking. How do I take the shot when my phone is up in the air on the end of a whacking great pole? Well, there’s this rather clever Bluetooth XSmart remote, which will let you take a shot when you’re absolutely ready – no timers involved.
There’s a range of colours available and it’ll collapse down to fit into your pocket pretty easily. offering complete control of your device even at a distance.
Now wait for it. The Me-Shot Deluxe is available from A href=”http://www.xsories.co.uk/me-shot-deluxe.html”>www.xsories.co.uk for …. £63.99.
Yes. nearly £64 for an extendable stick.
I’m just going to put this out there, but if you do a search for “reaching tool” on eBay you can find something like this for £2.45. Whack your phone on timer mode, use that and .. boom… job done. 😉
I don’t know why, but this whole article has made me think of the “Man with the Stick” from Vic Reeves Big Night Out..
