Bang on schedule, the Android-esque Nokia X2 has been announced. It has a 4.3″ WVGA (800×480) screen, dual- core 1.2 GHz CPU, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and 1GB RAM with 4GB storage and a microSD card slot.
Microsoft… Sorry, Nokia are throwing in 15GB of online storage and the handset also has the usual WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.
There’s a range of colours and it’s seen as a way to get people on the way to the Lumia handsets. Let’s hope the owners of the X Series devices don’t get too used to all those Android apps, because although there’s more Windows Phone apps appearing there’s still more on Android.
The design apparently has an “Inner Glow” thanks to a trick paint job and it’ll open up the world of Microsoft services. It has a day and smooth UI with easier switching between apps with visual multitasking.
We have a demo video and we’ll have more details soon..
osting just €99*, the distinctively designed Nokia X2 smartphone brings quality hardware, enhanced performance, the unique Fastlane experience and popular Microsoft services to a wider audience.

The Nokia X2’s stylish exterior remains as bold as the original Nokia X but incorporates a brand-new cool translucent outer layer, making it really shine whatever the time of day.

Navigating around the Nokia X2 is easy, thanks to Fastlane and the home and back buttons – the latter providing quick-and-easy multitasking support.
Fastlane makes it easy to see what events you’ve got coming in the future, what apps you’ve used recently, as well as the different tasks you’ve performed throughout any given day, and with just one tap, you’ve launched an app or responded to a notification.
The Nokia X2 is also equipped with another navigation option; the brand-new ‘apps list’, which keeps your home screen clear for your most used apps, bringing Nokia X2 in line with the existing Lumia experience.
More personalisation options are now available on the start screen, too, thanks to the tile color-picker feature.
Powerful hardware
With a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor on-board, everything you do is razor-sharp and responsive. And with a bigger 4.3-inch ClearBlack display, all of your apps, games, photos and videos are brought to life with aplomb.
Speaking of photos, there’s a 5MP camera with flash and auto focus on the back as well as a front-facing camera that’s perfect for Skype calls.
Got multiple SIM cards for flexible connectivity? No problem, the versatile Nokia X2 comes as a dual-SIM.

In terms of Microsoft-made apps, Skype, Outlook.com and OneDrive with 15GB storage are available right out of the box.
