It wasn’t long ago that we had 1.2GHz CPU’s in laptops (in fact, I think this one I’m using right now has one). Now our smart watches have them. This is the Samsung Gear Live, powered by Android Wear. It has a 1.63″ Super AMOLED (320×320) screen and even manages to pack in Google Maps, Gmail, Hangouts, Google Voice and Google Now to tell you what the weather and traffic will be like.
It has a changeable strap, 512MB of RAM and lots of sensors including a heart rate monitor which works with various fitness apps. Packing Bluetooth 4.0, this can be paired with any Android device running Android 4.3 or higher and is available in black or red.
You can alter the clock face and it’s IP67 dust and water resistant. There’s a one-touch wake up feature and it’ll display info and “suggestions” in real-time. Your messaging and updates from various social media apps and news sites can come through too.

The new Android Wear device features Samsung’s signature Super AMOLED display for incredible colour and screen clarity. It also offers easy customisation of the clock face and utilises simple one-touch device wakeup for instant access. The Gear Live meets IP67, protecting the device against the effects of dust and water immersion, and comes with a standard 22mm band, so users can change the band to express their taste and personality. Finally, the sleek watch allows users to better manage their health and fitness with a built-in heart rate monitor that works seamlessly with multiple fitness apps.
Simple and intuitive Android Wear experience
Allowing information to move with the user, the Gear Live, powered by Android Wear shows targeted information and suggestions in real-time.
