Remember earlier in the summer when I kept posting about my charity bike riding? If you missed it, I basically had too much to drink and kinda agreed to get fitter and do some mental rides to raise a bit of cash for charity.
After riding a mountain bike to Wales and back I then went on a little 270+ mile ride from London to Paris and it ended up becoming part of the Garmin VIRB Elite review. Anyhow, I wanted to thank everyone here who put their hands in their pockets and donated cash. Don’t worry, I’m not going all soft on you guys, but I’ve had a lot of stuff happen in the past few years and I wanted to try and do some good.
We rode to Paris in aid of Edward’s Trust, who help children and families to survive bereavement. With your help, the 15 of us who did the ride have now added everything together and I can proudly state that we’ve raised a massive £4,233
This is way past any of our goals and I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone. While I’m here, I have to state how stunning France was and how brilliant the people were. I’ve never seen so many drivers stopping on roundabouts to let cyclists through. Their patience, support and cheers along the way was something I won’t forget in a hurry.
If you want to know the full story behind all this, check my blog or see the quick re-cap below (filmed on the Garmin VIRB Elite).
