Priced in the US at $249.99, the Moto 360 could, for a brief moment earlier, be purchased from the Motorola website. If you’re lucky you can perhaps have a look in Best Buy stores and get one there. By the looks of the quick sales, it’s proving popular.
This is a smartwatch that responds to your voice and monitors your heart rate and movement. It’s a watch with six different faces pre-loaded and a simple wireless charging and docking system – plus the battery will apparently last all day, which is always a good thing. It’s water resistant, syncs with any Android running 4.3 or higher, has Bluetooth 4.0, 4GB internal storage and 512MB RAM. You can also choose from a range of different coloured leather bands.
The display is a circular 1.56″ with a 320×290 resolution at 205 pixels per inch. It has a Gorilla Glass 3 covering.
Here in the UK you can pre-order it for around £199.99 (Expansys). We’re expecting it to arrive here in the UK in a few weeks time.
The rise of these round smartwatches (don’t forget the LG G Watch R from earlier this week) doesn’t surprise me. Here’s the watch that started it all, from Thunderbirds back in 1966… 😉
