Parties, foreign travel and stacks of free phones. That’s what you get if you work in the mobile industry. It’s just non-stop craziness for us here at Coolsmartphone Towers too, and when we’re not on a first class flight to New York, we’re sipping champagne with Beyoncé Knowles. It’s glamorous, flouncy, flouncy.
So, if you want to enter this world of debauchery, get in touch with O2. They’re on the look-out for over 100 interns and graduates for a range of roles in Slough and Leeds. The two programmes are available now, and you need to get your name down fairly quickly to be in with a chance.
The O2 Graduate Programme is the first offering. 50 people will be given the opportunity to join this one and it’ll last two years.

Paid Internships, 60 of them, are also available for 12 months. These will give you experience in all areas of the business.

Opportunities available across a range of roles in Slough and Leeds
People urged to apply before end of October to avoid missing out
As thousands of young people head back to university this week with future careers in mind, O2 is calling on the UK’s best young talent to apply to join the company on either the internship or graduate programme.
With over 100 places to be filled, O2 is offering a range of roles that give candidates the chance to get stuck in at one of the UK’s most exciting digital businesses. Applicants can apply for one of two programmes:
The O2 Graduate Programme
50 young people will be offered graduate roles. Lasting a minimum of 2 years, creative, tech-savvy students can get the opportunity to be involved in the digital innovation at the very heart of the business whilst taking their first step towards becoming the business leaders of the future. Roles are offered across a range of skills areas, from relationship management and marketing, to finance, data and analytics, commercial strategy and technical.
Applications close on the 24th October.
Paid Internships
60 young people will also be offered 12-month paid internships, which promise to give successful candidates experience of all areas within the business. The roles allow young people to gain valuable insights into what makes the tech industry tick.
Applications close on the 10th November.
Ann Pickering, HR Director at O2, commented:
“At O2, young people are a valued part of our business, bringing enthusiasm, fresh perspectives and their digital skills into our workplace. Many of the graduates and interns who joined us last year have already made a big impact, leading teams or projects and using their digital know-how to really shape the way we do things. That’s why this time of year is such an exciting one for us, because we know the young people joining us now could be the future leaders of our business.
“We’re privileged at O2 to be at the cutting edge of the digital revolution and through our graduate and intern roles we’re offering over 100 ambitious young people the opportunity to work right at the heart of it, on exciting projects that really will affect the future of the company – and the UK as a whole.”
James Tattersall, 23, currently in his second year of the O2 graduate scheme, commented:
“Since joining O2 in 2013 I’ve learnt a huge amount – not just through formal training and support, but by working closely with some of the best in the digital industry. Young people working at O2 are seen as the future leaders of the business and are given a great deal of trust and responsibility from day one. We’re not just there to make up the numbers – we’re there to give our views and play an active role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. I’ve only been at O2 for a year but I already feel like I’ve got a great career ahead of me.”
