If you are an app developer you’re probably familiar with Eclipse and the Android SDK. Back in 2013 Google announced Android Studio which was to be a more integrated and smarter way to build apps. It’s been available to use as a 0.1 Alpha version since May 2013 then reaching Beta as version 0.8 in June of this year. However now it’s reached it’s 1.0 release marking it’s first ‘stable’ release of this IDE (integrated development environment). Built on the Java-based IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition by JetBrains it offers a more integrated development environment that’s more intuitive than existing options. With an intelligent code editor, GitHub integration, code templates and virtual devices for any device you can dream up it’s a definite step forward.
Now all that’s left for you to do is learn a little bit of Java programming code and turn those app ideas into reality.
