So, it was pretty much as expected with the launch of the HTC One M9. What wasn’t expected was the additional gadgets and services that HTC are working on. A virtual reality headset, coming to consumers before the end of the year, and a partnership with Valve grabbed attention as Peter Chou did a classic “Just one more thing” mention.
However, we should look at the One M9 first. It leaked before the event, but the specs are still very impressive indeed. We’ve got a 5″ full HD screen, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit CPU, 32GB syotage, a massive 3GB RAM, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, DLNA, HDMI, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and a microSD card slot for up to 128GB extra.
The main camera is a 20 megapixel with a sapphire cover lens, auto-focus, f/2.2, BSI sensor and 4K video recording. The front camera is a HTC UltraPixel unit for your selfies.
We’ll have a full hands-on video shortly, but you can check out where to buy the device here.
