It’s been just a couple of weeks since we told you about the cheap and cheerful PIXI 3. This is the PIXI 3 (4) version, which basically means you’re getting a 4″ 480×800 pixel screen at 233 PPI.
The phone is also available with a slightly smaller 3.5″ screen for a mere £20 in your local Sainsbury’s. However, if you want a slightly bigger screen and a different network (Sainsbury’s use Vodafone), then O2 have the bigger version for £34.99. After that you just whack on a Pay As You Go plan and you’re done.
This dual-core 1GHz (Mediatek) handset runs Android KitKat 4.4 and is 3G-only. It does Bluetooth (v4.0), WiFi, GPS and had two cameras – a 2 megapixel unit at the back and a VGA up-front.
There is also 512MB RAM and 4GB on-board storage, although you only get 1.8GB of that so best get a microSD for up to 32GB extra. It’s powered by a 1400mAh battery.
Here some pictures of a dummy device we don’t have the real thing at the moment.
It’s low spec, entry level and cheap. Get it here on O2.
