Some good news for those of you who backed the Remix Mini. It has now achieved more than $1million and as a result two cool things have happened. The early bird $40 tier for the 2gb ram 16GB storage version has been reopened. In addition to that anyone who backs the project will get a free HDMI cable in the box making it even easier to set the device up when you recieve it in Semptmber/October.
I have been using Remix OS 1.5 on my Remix tablet and it is a big improvement over the original OS at launch but even more exctiing is what OS 2.0 is bringing. Here is a wee video showcaseing it.
The actual unit itself is tiny and I cannot wait to get my hands on it to start testing it for you our dear readers. I should be recieveing the device at some point this month. So to tide you over this is the video of the whole setup.
Until then guys enjoy and remember if you want to back this project check it out on Kickstarter.

Jeremy Chao, Co-Founder of Jide Technology, innovators of Remix Mini explains, “We are amazed and humbled by the reception the world has shown towards Remix Mini. We believe that a big part of the equation is Remix OS. It is a very different experience to what people are used to because it’s an Android that is actually tailored for PCs, and we can now see that people are ready for Android PCs.” To celebrate the $1 million milestone, Jide also announced that they will be reopening their $40 2GB Remix Mini Early Bird tier.
Remix Mini, starting at $30 on Kickstarter, is easy to use and simply connects to any screen, keyboard and mouse. This allows you to use it as you would any other computer, whether that be browsing the internet, downloading and watching videos or creating documents, as well as the ability to run any Android app or game. It can even help you save up to 90% in energy costs when compared to traditional tower desktop PCs.
Android currently runs on phones, tablets, TVs, smart watches and even cars, but until now was yet to run productively on PCs. The aim of Remix Mini is to change that. Through the optimization of an amazing form factor combined with an innovative operating system, Remix Mini has brought the global market the next evolutionary step in computing.
