Google, it seems, is having a big overhaul. First they split their company up to sit under the new Alphabet name, and now they’ve updated their logo.
Since it’s launch in 1998, the company logo has been in constant evolution. You’d even be forgiven for not remembering exactly what it looks like with the regularity the ‘Google Doodle’ changes. In the most part though, the logo has stayed relatively constant since 1999. Yesterday however, they announced their new logo. It’s much like the old (same colours…it still says Google) only, the typeface has been updated.
The look is supposed to reflect the new cleaner, modern approach from Google. Its updated typeface does away with the old style of a serif font for this new sans-serif variant. All of Google’s products and services are being updated to reflect the new design. I quite like it, how about you guys? Sound off in the comments below.
