Here is a game very close to my heart, as it combines smartphones and tablets with heavy metal! TeamRock are usually known for the Internet radio station and collection of music magazines from Metal Hammer, Classic Rock to Prog, covering every genre of rock music. Now they have taken a character who looks similar to Jack Black’s Brutal Legend and has been to a few Motorhead gigs in his time to another world of screen tapping.
Here is the twist, you tap the screen in accordance to the song you are listening to! Heavier the better, but very much the harder. The idea of combining a music game with a radio station and a record label is bordering on genius. Nuclear Blast, a huge record label is supporting the game with music from their artists with options to buy the full albums. Bands include Suicide Silence, Epica, Sabaton, Hammerfall, Accept, Immortal, Devilment, Vader, Exodus and Threshold – with even more to come.
It’s not an easy game, especially if you want to hear your chosen song in full. Very addictive nevertheless, so rock on and level up!
