Kids now. They don’t know what it’s like to own a record or a CD. They don’t have a proper collection on a shelf. It’s all digital now. Flick through your iPhone and all your music is there, trapped in a digital box. It’s not the same.
However, if you want to step back to the “old days”, try these. It’s old tech that looks old but is actually …… oh wait… No, actually these are just .. umm.. brand new (but old) bits of audio kit.
So here they are, all new, but old .. and coming to Tesco and Wilkinson soon. Priced “between £17.99 and £34.99”, it’s a CD player and a cassette player. This basic player is £24.99 and, as you’d expect, plays CD’s. Chuck another £10 into the kitty and you get an FM radio and it’ll play MP3s.
If, and this is an outside chance, you’ve stumbled across some actual audio cassettes, £17.99 gets you this tape player which records things (if you can find a TDK-90 kicking around) and it comes with an FM radio.
Hey. I remember taking the actual tape out of these things, totally de-spooling it and hen hanging out of the car when I was younger. Ahhh, crazy times…
The press release then goes on about 1996 and Britpop or something.
