Amidst the chaos that is MWC is little that is of interest to iPhone/iPad users so, to keep our dedicated Apple readers happy, is an interesting story making the rounds at the moment. While mobiles may not be innovating in interesting ways (LG G5 aside), you can always rely on some bright spark to come up with a great new tech gadget. The Tethercell AA Smart Battery Adapter is one such invention. Originally an Indiegogo project, it basically allows you to turn any gadget that uses AA batteries into a smart device. The technology is relatively simple: a AA-size casing, that takes the smaller AAA battery, slips into the chosen device and via a bluetooth connection to an iOS app, you can wirelessly turn the battery on or off. Amazon.co.uk have them listed as £26.75 for a pack of two, though they’re currently out of stock. If only I could find a way to connect them to my son’s tablet so that I could remotely turn it off…
