Milk VR, which has been knocking about for some time for the Gear VR headsets has now been published onto the Play Store for those who are able to download it. I say that because it only is available for a select few handsets. The likes of The Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6, with their Edge variants and the Note 5. The app also seems to be region locked, so you’re unable to download it in the UK, although you can see it in the app store. Hopefully, it will appear soon. I have included a link below for side loading for those keen on exploring the 360 content on offer.
As with the likes of YouTube, you don’t need a Gear VR headset. Just open the video you fancy watching in the app and pan your device around to fill your heart’s content of 360 videos. You can also checkĀ https://milkvr.com to see what’s on offer. Content is provided by various partners, including Mountain Dew, the NBA, 20th Century Fox and Skybound Entertainment. If you have a Gear VR headset, you do get a more immersive experience. Let us know if anyone has tried it on a Google cardboard headset and whether it works on it.
