Remember the CPR Call Blocker that we reviewed some months back? That gadget plugs into your home phone and, with the help of an in-build database and a one-button blocking system, you could get rid of nuisance callers.
However, it’s not just your home phone that gets those auto-dialler attacks. You’ll also be getting calls on your mobile too, and that’s where the new CPR Call Blocker app comes into play. Currently only on Android, it’ll defend against the endless call-centres, PPI claims companies, accident and litigation specialists or an unwanted call about some injury you never actually had.
Inside the app there’s 1,200 numbers which will be blocked immediately on your phone – these are from their database of scam and nuisance callers. You can add more too, and you’ll notice an immediate reduction in the amount of calls.
An iPhone version is being worked on, and the app is completely free.
