Battery life is always a pain-point with smartphones, and constant GPS / screen time in Pokemon Go reduces it quickly. The power back is now just £10, instead of £20. However, if I’m honest, you can probably get one a bit cheaper elsewhere. It’s a 2600mAh capacity, so will probably charge your phone once from flat.
Full details below. Note that as I type it’s still showing the full price on their website, so this looks to be a store-only thing.
EE LAUNCHES HALF PRICE DEAL ON JUICE POWER TUBE TO KEEP POKÉMON HUNTERS ON THE GO
From today (Thursday 21st), the Juice Power Tube will be half price in all EE stores, helping millions of mobile users across the country carry on their hunt for Pokémon.
More than 350,000 EE customers were playing Pokémon Go on the EE network the day before the app even launched. And more than one million EE customers have played the game every day since then.
Battery life is the thing that customers are most worried about when they’re playing Pokémon Go so EE is giving them a great deal on the Juice Power Tube, and they can charge their smartphones in EE stores, where there’s a good chance they’ll find a Pokéstop or a new Pokémon to catch. EE has already seen sales of power packs double in the week since Pokémon Go has launched.
EE has over 550 stores around the UK, and 4G coverage in more places than any other operator. The Juice Power Tube is reduced to £10 from £20 from 21st July to 4th August in store. The JW White Lightning cable for iPhone is also half price, down to £7.49 from £14.99, in store for the same period.
