When Microsoft splashed out millions for the Nokia phone building tech, it knew that the actual Nokia name couldn’t be used long-term. The result, in late 2014, was the end of Nokia branding and a switch to pure Lumia branding.
Now things are on the move again, with the Lumia brand getting taken down in favour of “Microsoft Mobile”. This is more in keeping with their mobility efforts in the software arena following the protracted death of Windows Phone and Windows Mobile phones.
The @LumiaHelp Twitter update today shoves people across to a @MicrosoftHelps account, which appears to be a generic catch-all account for anything Microsoft related.
An FAQ also reveals that localised Microsoft Lumia and Mobile accounts are being binned off in favour of international accounts.
