Me and my son love Hot Wheels. When I was a kid I used to put tracks all around the house and now I’m doing it all over again.
Anyway, we stumbled over this simply amazing video. It’s been filmed by someone with far too much money and time. What interested me most is just how some of that “in car” footage had been captured. Take a look below and I’ll tell you more..
The on-board video was taken with a GoPro Hero Session camera which sits on a “modified” car chassis. The rest of the video is filmed on an iPhone 5s. It’s pretty amazing just how good the footage is – all captured on a phone and a little camera stuck to some wheels..
The car and the “camera car” completed all of the jumps by themselves. The only editing that was done was just to chop out random people standing next to the track. Everything was filmed at 120 frames per second, then slowed to 30 frames per second to make it look all dramatic-like 🙂
If you’ve done anything like this, we’d love to see it 🙂
