It seems a long time since we first saw the Sony Xperia XA1. It has a bigger brother, the XA1 Ultra, too.
The XA1 has now popped up on Vodafone has a 5″ screen 720×1280 pixel screen. It’s powered by Android 7.0 and has a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core CPU (Quad core 2.3GHz + Quad core 1.6GHz). The handset has 32GB of on-board storage (plus a microSD card), 3GB RAM and a 2300mAh battery. The usual 4G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi are here.
Vodafone tell us that they’ll be selling the handset for £40 per month with a £50 upfront cost. This will give you 1GB of data and unlimited texts and unlimited minutes. Voda, of course, are keen to point out that customers can also choose a Red Entertainment 8GB plan for unlimited texts, unlimited minutes and a big 8GB of data. That’ll get you a choice of Sky Sports Mobile TV, Spotify Premium or NOW TV for 24 months. The cost is £52 per month with a £30 upfront cost.
