Apple announced their exciting speaker using Siri at WWDC earlier this year, it was pencilled in for a December launch… until now.
Apple confirmed in a statement to 9to5Mac
“We can’t wait for people to experience HomePod, Apple’s breakthrough wireless speaker for the home, but we need a little more time before it’s ready for our customers. We’ll start shipping in the US, UK, and Australia in early 2018.”
The news is a big blow to Apple, who would have wanted to get the new device in stores ready for Christmas. On the other hand, it is good to see Apple putting customer experience ahead of profit, something the company needs to do to keep its high expectations from customers.
