Android Wear 2.0 is getting a bit old now and while there have been a few minor updates, none have introduced anything particularly novel or exciting. A few days ago Google announced the Oreo 8.0 update for Android Wear. While this isn’t a major update, it does provide a few new features and options:
- Notification vibration strength setting
- Touch lock option for wet conditions
- Support for 7 new countries / languages
- Plus more e.g. notification channels, battery saving background limits

Watches on the first list should be able to update now; those on the longer, second list will receive the update once the manufacturer decides to release it. I’m currently using the LG Watch Urbane 2nd edition, which isn’t on either list, so cannot try the update.
