Iron Bru, Scotland, Matteo Doni. They all go together brilliantly, so we decided to add an Honor 7X into the mix too.
We’ve already had a full hands-on with the device in November and it then appeared in December. However, the price has gone down a bit now and you can pick one up for £239.99 unlocked. If you want to take a bit of a gamble, you can also buy the Chinese version for £165.99, and you can get £5.99 off that if you sign up to the eGlobal Central newsletter. The Chinese version doesn’t have Google Play (but you can install that easy enough) and there’s less storage – 32GB instead of the 64GB in the one direct from Honor UK. Oh, and the Chinese model also doesn’t seem to do 800MHz 4G. Here in the UK we use 800 MHz, 1800 MHz (1.8 GHz) and 2600 MHz (2.6 GHz).
Perhaps the best bet is to go to Amazon, where you can get the UK-spec one for £219.
ANYWAY….
This has a 5.93″ (2160 X 1080) edge-to-edge FullView 18:9 screen, the Kirin 659 octa-Core (4 x 2.36 GHz + 4 x 1.7 GHz) CPU, a 3340 mAh battery, 2.4GHz WiFi, 64GB storage (UK model) 4GB RAM (UK model) and a dual camera setup at the rear (16 megapixel + 2 megapixel). You also get an 8 megapixel front shooter and a microSD slot. The usual Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and 3.5mm headset port is there but…
..why am I telling you all this when I can hand it over to Matteo to show you around?!
