No real fanfare here, but it looks like our friends at Three have removed the usage caps on tethering. From now, the “Personal Hotspot” usage limits on 4G mobile plans will be ditched, so no need to worry about hooking your laptop onto your phone in future.
The whole of your plan, from what our spies say, can now be used as a hotspot.
Good huh? Well, a tiny word of caution. We’ve had a chat with Three and they say that it’s “rolling out”, so don’t go crazy just yet as it might take a short while, plus some people still have personal hotspot allowances etc etc
Update – Dan has just tweeted this out…
Had it confirmed that 100GB and AYCE on @ThreeUK allows tethering up to your allowance now so not a separate cap, AYCE included up to 1000GB fair use
