In my earlier article I should’ve also mentioned that Bournemouth Hospital Charity have also been awarded a £1,000 from Vodafone. Their Bournemouth store team chose the deserving cause.
Bournemouth Hospital Charity helps with care and treatment for patients in the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals. Through their charity work they help to provide additional facilities, equipment and resources. The charity has already helped to fun a CT scanner, an Orchard Garden and a waiting area.
Maria Tidy, Senior Corporate Fundraiser at Bournemouth Hospital Charity said..
We are delighted to have been chosen by the Vodafone Bournemouth retail store to be the beneficiaries of the Vodafone Community Connection Award. We are most grateful for this support, the £1,000 is going to help us massively in our funding of a new Mini MRI Scanner, which unlike an MRI is designed to scan limbs rather than the whole body – making it much more comfortable for patients.
Great to see help like this, and also great to see locals choosing the local charities and causes for the money to be handed to.
