I’m kinda on the fence with the wide slit on the back of this thing. Sure, I like cameras and yes, all the phones here seem to be brimming with them, but the letterbox shape on the back is a bit distracting for me, especially with some of the lovely colours.
Those rear shooters are as follows – a telephoto 12 megapixel (f2.4), a wide-angle 12 megapixel dual pixel and a 16 megapixel ultra wide lens. These will deliver up to 2X optical zoom and then 10X digital zoom. Up front there’s a 10 megapixel dual pixel selfie camera.
The phone weighs in at just 157 grams, the Galaxy S10. It has a 6.1″ Quad HD+ Curved Dynamic AMOLED 19:9 screen. It comes with 8GB RAM and then 128GB storage plus a microSD card slot so you can whack in another 512GB.
It’s got wireless fast charging, wireless powershare and a 3400mAh battery plus all the usual sensors you’d expect and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader plus face recognition. Powered by Android 9.0 Pie, there’s also NFC for contactless payments, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, GPS, dual-band WiFi and, yes, we’ve taken a look at the 5G model here in these photos.
